Still a draft, and needs:

custom gate labels for ~~CompactU~~, SqrtSwap, ~~RotateAroundAxis~~
bespoke target graphic for CX as bullseye
better handling of matplotlib window:
- window title
- default window size
optional fn arg to save to file as pdf with transparent background
optional args for user customisation
testing in Jupyter notebooks

but I'm no longer able to get pyQuEST working on my Mac, grrr.
