Thanks for this; unfortunately I can't take it as present; as stated in #74 I am looking for a new maintainer and for now am only considering bug fixes.

Hello @dsarvan! I am glad someone out there cares for nice code formatting :D As I am now co-maintaining pdfjam, I took a look at your PR. Did you just run shfmt? Seems like a good start. I will just try it my own and fine tune it a bit. Anyway, was there a specific reason, why you improved readability of the code? If you are interested in contributing, feel welcome to open further PRs or issues.
