Raider Planner web page has some great content related to the application. A quality web page is a great way to attract users to try our application. But our current web page looks and feels outdated. We want to give a fresh look and a modern feel to it. We are going to implement a clean, well-organized, concise and easy to navigate web page.

will be working on it

@adhithan96 @yousif1992 In principle this is a good idea. However, I would like a much more detailed description that covers the current deficiencies and how you plan to address them. Also note that you will need to enable GitHub Pages in your fork to be able to view the site content you are creating in the same way that users will see it on the project site.

@rsanchez-wsu @adhithan96 I think the overall design of the website isn't modern at all and isn't appealing to the user. there are tabs that contain a little information. they don't look professionally done. they could be combined with other tabs for the sake of convenience and style. also trying to implement googles material design would give the whole website a new modern look. one thing we can try to work on is having the user manual displayed on the webpage instead of having the need to download it every time. we will have more ideas as we work on it.

I am curious how you think the design is not modern. It certainly fits the general trend I have observed in many websites that have undergone modernization. Still, you are being very vague with your description. Please review the CONTRIBUTING.md document and consider what it says about what constitutes a valid issue. In particular, the issue description should be sufficiently detailed that another developer can pick it up and complete the work based almost entirely on the information written up in the issue. So far, you have mentioned making the site modern and professional but have not described at all what that would entail. The suggestion about the manual is not so vague, but you do not really go into detail about how it would actually be displayed on the page. Again, please review the documentation and improve the description of this issue accordingly.

@rsanchez-wsu @adhithan96 Since the average user attention span is about four seconds, it's vital to have an eye-catching design. To keep the user hooked to the site by having more subtle animations and more graphics that support, merging some tabs. Our idea regarding displayed the user manual, is to either be displayed on the website itself, sort of like the pilot webpage or to be displayed in a new tab instead of having to download it everytime the user wants to read it which is very annoying. The color contrast of the website should comply with the Accessibility laws. Currently, the header with gold and light cream is a bit hard to tell difference when we hover over it. And also there are some areas of the website where green background with white fonts are used, it was not pleasing to the eyes. We are going to improve such situations make a well round complete website.

Mordern website should look visually pleasing to the eyes. A true visually pleasing website should have smooth transitions, design where information is easy to find, PDF documents should be able to be read without having to download them, colors that complies with accessibility laws and font that flows naturally while reading. We are going to make website that will be offer a pleasant experience for everyone.
