Import Basic Formal Ontology #1

It seems that the Chemical Methods Ontology (CMO) is making reference to entities from Basic Formal Ontology (BFO). However, the CMO .owl file does not include an owl:imports statement for BFO. Should CMO explicitly import BFO?
