Can't login to Cherry SMS: "my-cool-sms.com: Invalid Login - Credentials001"

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Register at http://cherry-sms.com/
2. Enter username (4176....) and password in my-cool-sms/cherry-sms connector
3. Start WebSMS

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should show how many SMS "Guthaben" I have. And I should be able to send 
using cherry-sms
Instead, I see the following error message when I start WebSMS
my-cool-sms.com: Invalid Login
Credentials001

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
WebSMS Cherry SMS connector 1.8.1
WebSMS 3.7.4
Android 2.3.4
NSCollab 1.0.35

Please provide any additional information below.
I find this rather confusing... I installed the Cherry-SMS connector, but in 
the list of settings in WebSMS, there is no "Cherry SMS". Instead, there's 
"Einstellungen - my-cool-sms.com". Opening this, shows as the first point 
"Aktiviere CherrySMS" and at the bottom, there is a link to 
https://my-cool-sms.com/.

I entered the username as
4176474abcd
(Instead of abcd, I entered my correct number)
That's also what's shown on http://www.cherry-sms.com/index.php

did you install the my cool sms connector too?
i guess there is somthing wrongly cached.
plese open websms's preferences. and close it. this will force websms to load 
the list of connectors again.
the cherry connector does not know this error message. it just says '50' ;)

I indeed had both installed.
I now removed both and first reinstalled Cherry SMS. In the settings of WebSMS, 
an entry "Einstellungen - CherrySMS" showed up. As expected.
I then installed the my-cool-sms connector. In WebSMS settings, "Einstellungen 
- my-cool-sms.com" showed up. As expected.
BUT: In "Einstellungen - my-cool-sms.com", the first point is "Aktiviere 
CherrySMS" (!).
That shouldn't be so. Hm, maybe it's a translation error in the my-cool-sms 
connector? If I install it without having CherrySMS installed, it also shows 
"Aktiviere CherrySMS" as the 1st entry, and not "Aktiviere my-cool-sms.com", as 
I would expect it to.
