Hi Robert

I'm on r 179 (devel channel). Beru opens, but after about 15-30 secs it reverts back to the apps listing. If I already have books, is there any way on the GUI where we can load books (as opposed to downloading them from websites).
Thanks Steven

Are you using Beru from the click store or from git? If it's the former, your problem is likely #52. If it's the latter, it may be a variation on #56. In that case, checking your logs (in ~/.cache/upstart/) may give us some insight.

This should explain the situation for dealing with the books you already have: http://rschroll.github.io/beru/confinement.html

I can confirm that this no longer happens for: desktop, nexus 4, nexus 7, emulator 386. However, the changes are not in the version in the store yet. Is this still an issue?

There's a fair chance that the logs will tell us what's going wrong, or at least what isn't going wrong. Please post them when you have a chance.

the latest update has resolved this- thanks

I have my callibre library on google drive - I would love to be able to read them here.

I'm going to have a go at copying them locally

If you can mount Google Drive on your filesystem (I'm sure someone has managed this), you can point Beru to use that directory as its library. If you're running Beru under application confinement, you'll have to make sure it can access that directory.
