Is possible to add support? Thank you for this nice product!

It would be an interesting expansion. Alas, I am less optimistic than you when it comes to when Mozilla issue 1602166 might be resolved, let alone a Thunderbird version released that supports the new mechanism. I suggest not holding your breath in anticipation. 😉

I'll close this issue for the time being. I cannot really do much about it right now, due to the lack of both a server and a client which both support this particular authentication mechanism. We can revisit this later.
