Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
No hint is seen for the following tests:

8.2.3.a
8.2.3.b
8.2.3.c

No alert is seen for the following tests:

8.2.4.a
8.2.4.b
8.2.4.c

However, they pass Selenium and are marked as 'Passed' in the manual
results files.

As MarkB reminds on IRC, this issue relates to behavior in XHTML mode,
which is how we have the W3C test suite checked into SVN. This may not be
an issue in HTML mode (vague since I'm adding this comment as a bulk edit
across multiple issues). The manual results files actually reflect HTML
mode behavior.

This again has got to do with the WC3 tests. If an input field is not given a
valid
ref"/input" then it does not display the input correctly and the hint message
cannot
be applied to the input field if it is disabled. see comment in Issue 491. I
have
re-written the test so that the proper <xforms:input ref="/field1">.

The W3C updated these tests, they've been pulled back into our test suite, and
they
now pass the automated tests and show the required hints and alerts. This was
not
really blocked on 491
