v5.5.5 – Chocolate Chai Affogato

Hey all! This week is a bit light but we have some updates for you as always. 🆙 📈

This week we modified our Solidity stacktracing functionality so that calls to constructors appear as new Contract rather than just Contract. We also fixed a bug that caused truffle test to break when "*" is passed in the truffle-config.js.🐛 Add in some dependency updates and internal improvements that reworked the plumbing and you have this week's release!

Also worth mentioning, one of our dependencies was subject to malicious software change. This doesn’t affect Truffle users, but we’ve upgraded and pinned the dependency to ensure there’s no risk moving forward. For further information on this you can find it here.

How to upgrade

We recommend upgrading to the latest version of Truffle by running:

npm uninstall -g truffle
npm install -g truffle
