v5.5.6 — Half-Eaten Candy Bar

Hello all!

We hope you're all enjoying Truffle Dashboard! 🏎 Well, we're hard at work on improvements to it, although you won't see them all yet in this release. However, Truffle Dashboard will now display a message in the terminal to let you know when it's waiting for you to sign a transaction in your browser, so you don't just wander off wondering why your transaction hasn't been sent. 🤔

This enhancement comes to us from @benjamincburns, a name you may remember! 💭 Welcome back to the team, @benjamincburns! 🎉 🍫

In addition, this release contains fixes to the version: "pragma" setting -- which allows Truffle to automatically pick a Solidity version based on the pragmas in your Solidity source files -- to prevent certain crashes that would occur with it. 💣 This setting should work more reliably now. 👷 Finally, thanks also to @aymen94 for an improvement to our README!

Come back next week for even more improvements to Truffle!

How to upgrade

We recommend upgrading to the latest version of Truffle by running:

npm uninstall -g truffle
npm install -g truffle

v5.5.5 – Chocolate Chai Affogato

Hey all! This week is a bit light but we have some updates for you as always. 🆙 📈

This week we modified our Solidity stacktracing functionality so that calls to constructors appear as new Contract rather than just Contract. We also fixed a bug that caused truffle test to break when "*" is passed in the truffle-config.js.🐛 Add in some dependency updates and internal improvements that reworked the plumbing and you have this week's release!
