S0098 in practice #161

How is S0098 supposed to work in practice? The configuration can only be read. there is no corresponding command object to set it again.

The format is proprietary for each supplier.

What is the intended use of this object, at this stage of the SXL? It seems like it has no practical use in its current form.

Correct. The configuration can only be read due to safety and security concerns of remotely uploading a new configuration.

As a road authority, we find it useful of being able to save a local copy of the TLC's configuration in a central location, without the need of using any proprietary software (or firewall settings).
