I have been using Messenger for a couple of years now. Just recently when I open messenger it shows the loading bar and then just shows a blank white screen. I've tried reinstalling it, signing out, refreshing from server, etc. Same problem.

I'm experiencing the very same issue since last Monday at least :(

Same as of this week, only affects Sierra it seems. My other mac didn't upgrade to it and messenger still works

I just upgraded to High Sierra Version 10.13.3 and the problem is fixed.

I have that issue when first trying to open the app on a new computer. I installed it. It is opening a new tab in chrome with a link to m.facebook.com mobile version of my news feed.

Same here, using El Capitan last update. FB Messenger too, last update. 0.1.13.1491443794

Experiencing exactly the same issue as @RuellBrown

FYI I'm experiencing a blank screen in the app but also in Chrome and Safari when I go to messenger.com... it looks like it broke on FB's side, and is unlikely to work in fbmacmessenger until they fix it.

How can you solve it?
