Add HD options to the conf file for use #7

Any chance of adding the ‘Boot HD’ along with ‘HD Dir’ & ‘HD File#’ to the conf file? There are a few games I have which use HDF and I have to manually configure them each time. Any help here would be great.

If you configure hd options and save default config, those options should be automatically loaded whenever you start uae4all2. That’s how I use the hd settings.

When you load a hd and save hdf options (inside the hd menu), then those options should be reloaded whenever you load that same first hdf again.

Is this not what you want? Or did I misunderstand?

Hi rsn8887, thanks for responding. Let me briefly go through my setup and hopefully that will help. I have a number of hdf files which each have a single game installed. They auto launch into the game with WHDLoad. Having HD per game really helps with things like Savestates. I’d like a conf file per game which I have got working except the actual HD mapping is not included hence need to do it manually.

Does that make sense?

Can you tell me exactly what to do to reproduce the bug?

I just tried

So it seems to be saving and loading the HD File# settings correctly.

That works for multiple HD setups however when I just tried, that HD config only has HD setup, it doesn’t have anything about which Amiga kickstart, computer, screen settings etc. I was hoping to load the first floppy drive with the hdf file and use the saved config for that to include all elements including HD settings.

I see, so "save config for current HD" is not saving the complete config. I can fix that. You shouldn't have to load any floppies if you use hdf files. You should just load the first .hdf file and the full config should be re-loaded.

If you can fix that, it would be epic. Thanks a lot!

Yes I understand it now. It will be fixed in next release.

rsn8887 commented 6 years ago

Ok it should be fixed in v1.71, please test it.

1.7.1 works a treat mate. Many thanks.
