I'm facing an issue with installing the R raster package on Debian 12. Debian 12 currently uses libproj25 (= 9.1.1-1+b1), and when trying to install the raster package, I encounter an error indicating the need for libproj.so.22. This limits the installation of the raster package to version 3.4-13 for my PC.
I would like to report this conflict and seek a solution. Debian is known for its stability; however, this can make resolving issues like this difficult, as downgrading libproj is not possible. Any suggestions on how to work around this problem would be greatly appreciated.
