feature request (with patch): wait for event in command queue #16

It's occasionally useful to be able to wait for certain events during the
execution of a set of commands: this is a really quick stab at that. Note
that I haven't really tested this yet; I'm just submitting the patch to
gauge interest. Is this something that could be generally useful?

Has this been incorporated in 1.0? If not, is this still a desired feature?

It has been a year since this thread was last commented on, any progress on 
this issue?  This is really an essential feature in any testing suite, I'm 
surprised it ha taken this long to act.
