What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Alert has no sound.

I've had this for a couple of months - it worked just fine until just a couple 
of days ago - then just suddenly quit?

Reinstalling the extension seemed to fix it for now...

I just installed and the sounds don't work. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling 
with no change. Any other ideas?

no sound alert. tested my sound devices, s/pdif does not work for me, but 
others are ok. TIA
