I think the instructions could be made more clear, so that people who are testing and don't know the details of the problem can follow the instructions.

For example, maybe something like:

Make sure the output below is debounced: if you keep moving the slider, the value should update only after you have stopped for 0.25 seconds. [Note: I think 0.25 is the correct value, but you may want to check.]

Next, click on the "Update to Dates" button. The slider should show dates, and the type of the values in the text box should be Date[1:2].
