I was unable to find a reason why
$\gt$
would fail.
I don't know where you learned \gt
. It doesn't exist in LaTeX. You need to use >
(or define \gt
by yourself).

By filing an issue to this repo, I promise that

. I have upgraded all my packages to their latest versions (e.g., R, RStudio, and R packages), and also tried the development version:remotes::install_github('rstudio/tinytex')
