[QUESTION] Will it work with a Raspberry Pi 3 + Relay Shield ? #79

I know the question might seems stupid, but I spent a bunch of days reading and searching on-line for a way to realize an automated irrigation system and now my ideas are a little confused. About Sprinklers_Pi I would like to know if is compatible with a Raspberry Pi 3 assembled with a “x” channels relay shield connected to sprinkler.

Some people with the pi 3 have experienced needing to remap some of the pins in the application for it to work. but relay breakouts is the most common way to use this now i think.

Thank you very much for your kind reply!

Since I'm planning to deploy a new system it would not be a problem to use a pi 2 instead, indeed it would simplify things. Also thank you for confirming the use of relay, can't wait to have all the material and start putting it together.

Yes I run my system with an 8 relay breakout. Use the direct positive mode in settings.
