You clone Github repo using http protocol, So every time they ask for passwords Solution: Just clone Github repo using SSH protocol and save your pub key in Github.
So when ever you need to change something in github repo your ssh keys used.
Ideally, it should reprompt till it gets the right credentials and not move to the next step.
