potential benefits:

full control over the email accounts (forwarding, group accounts, catching lost messages that lend to non-existent emails as random.name@eahub.org
shared google calendar
extended quote on google drive and files that are accessible & discoverable by default
sponsored google maps subscription?

I noticed that a lot of group organizers are using @eahub.org emails, hence a migration of that kind might be fairly complicated from the organizational perspective.
