splitfield(x^5-x+1,x) runs over 5 hours CPU #2090

I don't know whether splitfield(x^5-x+1,x) runs forever, but it's been running for over 5 hours CPU so far. I assume that's not expected behavior.

Maxima 5.46.0 SBCL 2.2.5 MacOS 12.6 x86

Hmm, just tried with a current version (877441c2e) and I let it run for the better part of an hour, so it still takes at least that long. There have been some changes in the polynomial code recently but I guess this wasn't affected.
