I'll replace the first paragraph of the ratpow section with whatever wording you like, but it looks like you had a typo in the second sentence of your suggestion.
Do you want the first paragraph replaced with the following?
"The package ratpow provides functions that extract the coefficients and exponents of the numerator in a CRE polynomial. To extract them from the denominator, use ratdenom."

The introduction nodes currently are counter-productive as the integrated help browser of Maxima currently ignores the menu the introduction node comes with and therefore doesn't provide the user with any way of seeing the functions the package provides
