Maxima 5.31.1-1 does endless recurrence if I run this code in one cell:

phaseshift0: 436.0*lambda2nm/275/obj_mag$
filecontent: read_list("C:/wxMaxima/data/tic/coordinates.csv",semicolon)$

By contrast if I run each line in a different cell, it works as expected, no recurrence.

Also the problem did not occur with Maxima 5.25 which used the Clozure LISP, while from 5.26 on it uses gnu common LISP.

I don't understand what you mean by "endless recurrence". Can you explain please?

Also, can you attach the file coordinates.csv. Thanks for your help.
