This problem might be out of date. Perhaps a newer Maxima version and Lisp compiler should be used. We have Maxima 5.19post and I have no problems with Clisp 2.44. Maybe it is a very specific problem of a distributed Maxima package. Maxima seems to work after quitting the breaks. Setting the status to pending and the resolution to "out of date". Perhaps we can get more information, when this is still a problem. Dieter Kaiser
