Lag in key presses or emulator cannot handle fast key presses? #110

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load Samurai Showdown 4
2. Pull off 14-slash combo (f+CD, A,A,B,B,C,C,A,B,C,C,C,C,C,C)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect it to be pulled off quickly. The game seems to slow down a bit (after
some time), and the combos need to input slower to get it to work.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version 1.5.2. Android 2.3.3 on Samsung Galaxy S2 (i9100)

Please provide any additional information below.
Hi, I have an issue with the game.
Not sure if you're familiar with Samurai Showdown 4, but the 14 slash combo is
difficult to pull off whether I'm using sixaxis or your virtual keypad.

I was testing another emulator for Android and it pulls off well. No issues
with it. I like your emulator better because your virtual d-pad is much better.

The key I noticed is that eventually, I noticed a lag if you keep doing the
14-slash combo. (starts with ->+CD). Somehow, I think your button presses
cannot seem to take the multiple fast presses as well. I tried to reduce the
screen size, reduce the sound speed and whatever I could to reduce the load on
the processor but it was still the same.

I'm running the S2 with 400MB ram free. No issues in ram there.

Thanks for your time!

I've got the game and your same hardware, I'll try to test it.. even if the
command chain doesn't seem so easy :D (btw, you can do that with any character
in the same way?).

Have you tried switching the graphic engine from software to OpenGL, or the
other way around?

Sorry, tried but I just can't pull it off at all.. I'm not even sure which
button is which.. not used to SS4, I'm more a Street Fighter guy :)

Hi,
Thanks for trying. I was trying to find a video of how the combo is pulled off.
Maybe I'll do a video myself to show you before I revisit this issue again.

It's frustrating for me cos your emulator is really great with the controls and
customised button positions. Thanks for your hard work!
