Cannot chat using Openfire server

I can login using bombusmod to my openfire server and my roster request is 
successful and all my online contacts appear.

The issue is that when I send a message to a contact, the person does not 
receive the message. But if I send a broadcast message to all my contacts, they 
all receive the message. Pls help me with this issue. Thanks

I don't understand why we should discuss your server setup in this tracker. Go 
to openfire support forums or anything else.
