Hi,

smarttls encryption is very common and enabled on many xmpp servers by default. 

Currently, I'm getting the following message on the jabberd2 server:

Aug 29 15:15:45 chat jabberd/c2s[26222]: [8] [xxx.xxx.73.28, port=60638] connect
Aug 29 15:15:46 chat jabberd/c2s[26222]: [8] got pre STARTTLS packet, dropping

I tried both with/winthout "paintext" option. bm2 failed to connect so far.

Please add SMARTTLS support.

There are beta builds with STARTTLS support - 
http://bm2.googlecode.com/files/BombusMod-release-1224b-tls.apk - it is for 
android, I can upload plain j2me build too

yep, I tested the android version, it works fine.

btw, it's not convenient to type messages on android, I'll file an another bug 
report...

The SMARTTLS issue is fixed. Please mark as closed. Thanks
