Add function to remove figure data to save memory.
Remove deprecated Gen2 Butler comment (closes rubin-dp0/Support#15)

I've reviewed and made one commit to implement the change suggested by Jeff, "fig,ax" --> "fig, ax" to be compliant with standards.

@kadrlica please merge this PR to main and delete this branch, then do another PR merge to prod branch to release the new version of NB03 to delegates, and then mark PREOPS-583 to done.
