Could you remove integrated guide? #3

I'd like to contribute to this project as an official successor of the original project at RubyForge . But I think including integrated guide is a problem because

  1. I don't think integrated guide was in the original project repository. It seems a different project.
  2. It seems kind of his note that partially includes translations of RHG, it includes a lot of extra texts, I guess that's why the word "integrated" is in title.

Absolutely, when starting this project, I just wanted to begin by unifying everything, with a view to achieving completeness, and eventually a decent quality translation. I didn't want to see previous efforts go to waste.

Although some of those are lower in quality (machine generated, IIRC?), I would much rather replace chapters or parts with better translations than remove everything to start with, as I do believe they offer some marginal value to (non Japanese speakers) wanting to read the book in English.

I've added you to the team, so you can feel free to replace parts, but I'd rather not wholesale delete chapters/parts (unless they really are extra irrelevant parts).

Integrated Guide is available on its site and it seems not purely a translation project. Even If we don't contain it here, it does not mean previous efforts go to waste. I think it's just a different project from http://rubyforge.org/projects/rhg/.

As you say, it could be valuable to some extent. But also it could mislead readers as if what was actually not written on the book is written by the author of the original book. What I'm worried about is not the machine generated translations.

Anyway, I appreciate you created the place people can work together on github. I was looking for the place to complete the work with people joined rhg-discussion@rubyforge.org.
