[Feature] Ticker - Looking for Group/Member/Coach #357

We'd like to contribute this one:

We wanna add a feature to search for a workshop group, members or coaches. We will make it 'Twitter' alike, not like a forum. https://github.com/BirgitPohl/rorganize.it

Tickers should be active for a certain amount of time and then get inactive, if no one commented on a ticker.

You can announce that you search for a group/member/coach in a certain country, city and with a certain level. At the same time, people viewing the tickers can filter them by those values, making it easy to find a new group/member/coach.

I think this sounds great - I'm a bit confused though by what you mean by a 'ticker'. Do you mean that someone will post a little message on a page, which will be twitter-like, and they have a lifetime of about a week or so, and people can use those to find a project group? I picture the idea to be something like a like a bulletin board.

@lislis is working on a messaging system for the app, and perhaps this can be incorporated somehow... like if someone posts something on this ticker board, and if they are in your area, you get a notification or something... Or if you're looking for a coach, all the coaches in the app get a notification, or if you're looking for fellow students all the students will get a notification... I dunno. The world is our oyster!

I have seen the notifications while keeping my fork updated. This is a great idea and I will take a look how I can implement the notifications in the ticker. Thank you for mentioning it.

Ticker is the working name. I'll certainly have to search for a name that really describes what it does. If you have any suggestions, be welcome to comment.

Hei ho, I started my study (computer science) and it is super overwhelming. Also I was thrown out of my Rails Girls group. I will not stop doing this project but I want to make a little break. Everybody is welcome to contribute on this one to make this project happen. :) I wish you a happy Christmas time. :)
