Hi! adding a logo with a transparent background is no problem. Every OS is slightly different in the requirements. But I noticed that the hintview/MacOS directory is still empty, except for the README file. So I have to push the files there which will need some time (next week) because I usualy do not work with a Mac. If someone wants to take over the MacOS and/or iOS part of the repository he/she is more than wellcome. Just let me know! Martin
One more idea: I could set up a folder with all kinds of images (Icons, Buttons, etc) so that every developer could use them and the hintview program would keep some common features accross different OS's and implementations. Is that a good idea? Martin
Probably yes. I've pulled the transparent png file from Google Play and replaced the program logo in MacOS. Other file formats I found are bmp and ico.
There is a new directory unter hintview called resources. It contains a logo directory which in turn contains all kinds of logo files. It includes files HINTLogoBuchFG*.png that have only the ForeGround and a transparent background (3 sizes). Its easy to produce and add other sizes if needed. The logo with the grey background (the default) is there in a lot of different sizes.
I've noticed that the Hintview logo for the MacOS program has a grey background. In the MacOS Dock it would be nicer if the logo were transparent around the "flying book".
