Exif Image Width Exception #1

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use an image where Exif Image Width is not set
2. Select that image in jAlbum explorer mode
3. Open the Camera tab

Missing metadata tag should be ignored and valid metadata displayed.
Instead, other metadata are not reported - "Error extracting metadata" is shown.

Using jAlbum 8.13 on Windows 7

Hi Jim,

Do you have an image that reproduces this issue? If so, would it be possible
to permit it to be used within the source code of metadata-extractor as part of
the automated test suite?

Many thanks,

Drew.

Jim -- nevermind, I hadn't read the post properly.

The sample image is here:

Will test and get back to you once I've finished merging some branches of the
code base.

I tried the image from the forum against the lastest code in SVN and do not see
this error.

In fact I wasn't able to reproduce it at any point. However, I did notice that
the version of the code here on Google Code contained a copy/paste error that
was fixed a while ago on drewnoakes.com that would have explained this issue.
I am in the process of merging the two branches into one, so that we have the
benefits of fixes and improvements across both branches in one place. Almost
there now!

I expect this issue is obsolete now, but will leave it here until a version is
released in case I misunderstood something.
