how to mitigate label destuction #32

globard edit users can delete labels (not sure if this synchs to github...not yet anyway). Labels may just be 'seeded' form the repo. explore more, create a way to backup to dummy repo using label copy tool.

looks like after 14 minutes, this destroyed label is synched only on the globard for those who can see them NOT on the repo. So no backup required? Test again in few days. if so, close. image image above shows gh view in a new issue and label is still there. checking label view: confirmed. image

can we pull the labels again or synch the differences? review support options and track activity; suggest how we want it to work.

Here they are minus step 3 as it was deleted testing this. However, appears on the gh repo still !!! image

Also, note you can filter board by accessing Board settings > labels Dangerousely close to edit and delete filter if you ask me.

WE should avoid editing and deleting labels except for agreeing to application steps as the addon takes form - we are shaking out the process of using 'DevFlow' as intended. if we need another board using same repo for columns to help organize something, please just ask in weekly wednesday meeting.

Ok. It appears that the sink for labels is nondestructive in terms of deletes that happen on glow boards. And at the least it appears new labels appear when they are used on issues have it tested if they appear there something created. Haven’t tested when they are edited this case but I will create a private back up repository and use the label copy tool to copy our current set of labels. I’ll document this in the issue that brings it up. @RobGoelz can you comment on their response.

Test if we can delete labels that have been used on issues. We have only tested deleting a label that hasn’t been used but that was originally pulled from the repo when the glow board was created
