• magpie looks like it can be a good replacement of evernote for document web research

magpie might be a good alternative to running a wikimedia at work for team documentation?

What I'm going to miss:

• searches including OCR on images throughout my notes
  • [ ] is there a good open source OCR search tool for this?
  • as saving the file, we would need to store metadata someplace that's searchable for what OCR picked up
• mobile client
  • It's been convenient being able to save a quick note and have it auto-sync to evernote's cloud
  • [ ] dropbox, owncloud, google drive, etc. might be able to provide the same type of interface
• easily add media to a note
  • while it's possible to add to a markdown post, it's not as seamless
  • [ ] find a good markdown client
  • [ ] find a good (android) mobile markdown client that will work well on nexus 6 and 9
