flocker has been around for a while, but rancher now has a tool called convoy
both sound like decent approaches at docker volume management

I suspect the flocker web interface will come in handy for sys admin shtuff (like inventory, config review)
I would like to snapshot/backup volume state to object storage (like maybe a swift deployment)
maybe both can work alongside eachother? flocker for the web admin view and convoy for the snapshot + push to object storage (don't think they support swift object storage API yet)
