I love this command from linux.

Install via homebrew with:

brew install iftop

1__sudo_iftop__sudo_

This one was a new discovery for me. (baked into OS X)

Once started, use the c key to aggregate all connection traffic into a single line per app
use the d key to toggle live traffic vs sum of traffic per line
