Same here on 16.10, compiled just fine and worked well converting the subtitle.

I'm moving the project to autotools to make building Debian packages easier (instead of the CMake cruft I used). I have only little time at the moment to work on this. But if you want to work on a deb package then see the autotools branch.

Myself I'm migrating towards cmake, nice clean base. How about cpack?
