Have you checked the checkbox "[ X ] per connected hub" next to the number of open slots? Otherwise the other hubs may be eating your slots, I guess.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

The issue here is "You haven't got enough slots open, you've got 0 and the minimum allowed is: 3"
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? shakespeer 0.97 with osx 1.5.2 on a macbook.
Please provide any additional information below. The latest shakespeer to work for me was 0.93 All the others give me the same message when trying to connect :( And I also have 9 ports open in preferences.
