i followed the instructions and downloaded dataexplorer.html locally, but when i open it, all navigational links point to http://explorer.okfnlabs.org.. making the local download pointless and unusable.

Dieterbe commented 11 years ago

dataexplorer.html#load shows the form of the local page, but submits my data to okfnlabs.org :(

How did you download the page?

I use this locally all the time and it works generally though I note (and this should be more clearly documented!):

Dieterbe commented 11 years ago

here's an excerpt from the code of the downloaded html file.

          <a class="btn btn-primary btn-large" href="http://explorer.okfnlabs.org/#dashboard">
            Get started with your<br>own data »

it's apparently browser dependent, if i save the page with firefox, the links are all relative!

probably the best solution is not to depend on how browsers download the page, and have people download the zip from github?

OK, don't download this via browser => save as atm.

Get it from source (i.e. here on github). ...

Welcome doc or instruction patches :-) but closing now as a wontfix / invalid.
