There is also another version floating around on archive.org. A few years ago I compiled a list of what was out there, volume by volume: http://ohuiginn.net/mt/2009/02/the_oxford_english_dictionary.html

I guess it's best to stick to one version, and Kragen Sitaker's seems the most complete. It seems to be missing one volume though (Volume 7, O-P)

I don't know if there is any benefit to cross-referencing the OCR on multiple scans, if we have more than one available?

@danohuiginn very useful list and good point re missing vol 7 - would you be happy for me to merge your info into the list above (or, even better, ensure you have relevant permission to do so!). (I'm also delighted to see that you have also been thinking about this for a while :-))

My feeling at the moment is just getting started with a trial run on one scan (cf #1) would be enough - we can utilize multiple once we have the basic process running smoothly. sound sensible?

@danohuiginn would you be up for adding this info to this repo as a csv / json file - perhaps index.csv of index.json :-)
