Registering this entry myself as a reminder to add new features for touch bar / touch id..., etc.

rugarciap commented 6 years ago

Waiting for my new MB Pro 2018 to arrive that will include touch bar / touch id.., so if anyone has a request for that, be my guest! I've got a couple of ideas I'm planning to add, but I'm afraid they imply using Apple private APIs.

rugarciap commented 6 years ago

Confirmed after receiving my Macbook pro 2018..., putting a fixed icon on touch bar implies to use Apple private APIs with no support at all :(.

Why does this need private APIs? Other apps like 1Password can use Touch ID.

rugarciap commented 5 years ago

I meant TouchBar when saying " putting a fixed icon on touch bar implies to use Apple private APIs "..., not using Touch ID. That's a different thing.

Better touch tool has the ability to easily add more buttons and customise the Touch Bar. If there is an api for turbo boost switcher, it would be possible to make a button on the Touch Bar that controls turbo boost quite easily using better touch tool .

Next version will include global shortcuts.., maybe it's possible to link one of them with the touch bar using that app

Hi, is TouchID support still planned?

tloki commented 3 years ago

TouchID would really be a game changer
