There is also a command called notify-send.

I don't know whether it is better or worse than zenity, but we should evaluate it.

AFAIK it does (and can do) exactly the same… :thinking:

Also kdialog may be used as a fallback for KDE, I guess.

I noticed that in Fedora Silverblue we have notify-send by default, but no zenity. :thinking:
