Bug description

The testing guide at https://github.com/rugk/mastodon-simplified-federation/wiki/Testing#redirects has problems.

Steps to reproduce

E.g.:

Pleroma user/server is broken/down/etc.
GNU Social redirect actually fails, and only works if you open that link in a new tab) Edit: Is down now, too.
etc.

Actual behavior

Expected behavior

Either make the code work or remove support.

Updated some stuff while testing for v2.0 update, but still a lot remains to be cleaned up.

Especially everything else than Mastodon seems a little untested as the instances went down or changed how they handle the redirect (similar to Mastodon, see #77).
