Hey just came across Matrix, and found this implementation.

Nice work!

What's the status of this project, in terms of spec compliance?

Saw your other thread, and implementing 2FA would be a neat idea. Will see if I can find the time to contribute those features 🤗

It looks like there's still activity in #ruma at least.

The project is not dead, just been on a long hiatus while we wait for both Matrix and Rust to mature in certain areas. You can find more details at https://github.com/ruma/ruma/issues/189. Thanks for your interest!

Would you, perhaps, include this oneliner of information in the beginning of the Readme? The first thing many people look at is the activity stats and if there's none we start suspecting terminal illness. A short explanation tht the project is not dead but waiting would greatly help to prevent this bad feeling.
