For both the norm prefix norm(a) and normal matrix notation ||(a, b; c, d)|| use the wrong symbol. We are using the PARALLEL TO (U+2225) instead of the correct DOUBLE VERTICAL LINE (U+2016). This has implications for matricies since the latter is stretchy but the former isn’t. Perhaps the PARALLEL TO (U+2225) is still a correct choice for the || operator.
