Doc page needs to be more mobile friendly #96

Problems with the doc page on mobile include:

Text is too small.
The demo playground is in two columns.
The table of content sub-menus don’t expand on touch devices.
The two column layout of the reference section is sub-optimal.
The examples take too much space
