The current version of lme4 sets the p-value for anova() to NA rather than an arbitrary number (1) when df=0. This corrects those tests. (It's a tiny bit messy, this may introduce a few bogus commits. If that bothers you I can clean up and resubmit.)
When I finally get this thing onto CRAN (on my third? try), they will probably ask for a new release from you in the next few weeks. As far as I can tell the current version is fine except for needing a version bump ...
