Inability to edit custom goals #11

Open ruoyann opened 3 years ago

Editing is available for some tabs but not available for some. Other than inconsistency, it is also confusing for users to remember which can be or cannot be edited. Since it can be done for some, should not be too hard to implement for all.

Team's Response

An edit command would have been implemented if not for the feature freeze. In any case I don't see how it is confusing because:

  1. The user would still need to refer to the UG for syntax and from there they would realise that there's no edit command for CG (they can just quickly glance at the table of contents), and hence would not be confused.
  2. If they are familiar enough with the commands and syntax and hence not require the UG (including the CG section), they would also already know that there's no edit command for the CGs, and hence would not be confused.
  3. The combination of the delete and add commands serve the same purpose, and it is also unlikely that a goal, which is a direct product of the user's consideration (i.e. they would've had to "seriously" consider: "I want to set a goal for the number of clients called this week. What should my goal be?"), would need any edits, typos or errors excluded. This is in contrast to persons or events which are more dynamic and just a representation of the information the users are provided.
