Latest Update Broke my system #21

After updating today 1/14/18 all pages of my site produce the following error.

Fatal error: Can't use function return value in write context in /home/webdrive/domainname.com/wp-content/plugins/flexia-core/admin/partials/flexia-core-customizer-admin-display.php on line 15

If it rename the flexia-core folder to be something else then the site returns without the error.

Please try removing Flexia Core and install a fresh copy.

Hi @lynbor,

I found the issue. Your WordPress is older and we are using new code editor feature. Please update your WordPress. We are going to add backward compatibility though.

I had already removed, reinstalled Flexia Core without success. Sorry I didn't make that clear in my initial post.

You say my WordPress is older but it is not. 4.9.1 and the update admin page says I have the most current version after checking.

I did see that my Flexia Theme was needing to be updated so I did update it and after doing that it was saying my Flexia Core needed to be updated so i did that.

That all was successful.

Then I attempted to active the newly updated Flexia Core and got.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. Fatal error: Can't use function return value in write context in /home/lynhome/snorlax.drstatic.com/wp-content/plugins/flexia-core/admin/partials/flexia-core-customizer-admin-display.php http://snorlax.drstatic.com/wp-content/plugins/flexia-core/admin/partials/flexia-core-customizer-admin-display.php on line 15

So I still have the issue with Flexia Core not working.

Please update to Flexia Core v1.2.3. I believe it won't happen again.

Let me know if you still find any issue.
